What drawings are needed before pricing?

How better information turns a broad budget into a clearer scope.

This is general information, not a survey, design, legal or Building Control decision. The correct scope and standard depend on the property, work, date and regulatory route.

Useful information may include a measured survey, existing and proposed plans, sections/elevations, specification, structural drawings/calculations, drainage information, window/door schedules and finish selections.

A contractor can discuss an early concept, but a detailed price depends on what is known, what is provisional and who is responsible for design. Label assumptions and exclusions instead of presenting an uncertain allowance as a fixed quotation.
