Living in the house during works

Questions to settle about phasing, security, dust, utilities and safe access.

This is general information, not a survey, design, legal or Building Control decision. The correct scope and standard depend on the property, work, date and regulatory route.

Occupied work needs a practical phasing plan: which rooms remain usable, how water and power interruptions are handled, how dust and fire separation are managed, and who controls access.

The programme is not a guarantee until scope, procurement, inspections and site conditions are known. Ask for assumptions and change-control arrangements before relying on a target date.
