Resin-bound driveways

How sub-base, drainage, aggregate and installation conditions affect a resin-bound surface.

This is general information, not a survey, design, legal or Building Control decision. The correct scope and standard depend on the property, work, date and regulatory route.

A resin-bound finish depends on a suitable, stable base, correct falls and drainage, clean dry aggregate and controlled mixing. It is different from resin-bonded surfacing, where aggregate is scattered onto resin.

Existing cracking, drainage, thresholds and vehicle loading should be checked before a finish is selected. Follow the system supplier's current technical documents rather than treating an online image as a specification.
