How to record a grant's status and avoid treating an old announcement as live funding.
Funding Route Check
Status: check providerCheck the named government or local-authority scheme page on the day of enquiry; do not rely on search snippets, social posts or a product quote.
A scheme can be open for applications, open only through an approved provider, paused, seasonal or closed while a replacement is announced. Record the page date, scheme administrator, closing date and any ‘funding subject to availability’ wording.
Ask whether the household, landlord, tenant or installer applies; whether an EPC or retrofit assessment is required; and whether measures must be installed in a prescribed order. Confirm clawback, contribution and VAT terms in writing.
