Low-carbon systems and new technology: compare the whole home

A non-promotional framework for comparing fabric, heating, generation, storage, ventilation and controls.

Compare a proposal against the home's heat loss, occupancy, comfort, maintenance, noise, space, electrical capacity and likely operating pattern—not a product label or headline payback.

Ask for assumptions, seasonal performance information, commissioning steps, warranties, replacement parts and what happens if connectivity or a tariff changes. New technology may be suitable, but novelty is not evidence of suitability.
