Questions to ask about generation, storage, export, controls, roof condition and electrical certification.
PV yield depends on orientation, shading, roof condition, system design and export arrangements; a panel count is not an energy guarantee. Check roof repairs and access before installing equipment.
Battery size should follow usage, generation, tariff and backup expectations. Smart controls need compatible equipment, commissioning and a clear manual override; they are not a substitute for safe electrical design.
Use an MCS or otherwise appropriately certified installer where required and obtain the electrical certificates, DNO notification details and warranty information. Do not alter an installation or consumer unit yourself.
